Régis Durand

Writer and critic, former Head of the Jeu de Paume

Régis Durand has been the artistic director of the Printemps de Cahors Festival; Director of the Centre National de la Photographie and Director of the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume in Paris.

He is now an independent curator and consultant based in Paris.

Régis Durand has written extensively on photography and contemporary art. His recent books include L’Excès et le reste–Essais sur l’expérience photographique III, Editions de la Différence, Paris, 2006; Images-mondes– De l’événement au documentaire, Editions Mongrafik, Paris, 2007.

Water Jury

The jury for the Prix Pictet are a group of leading experts in the visual arts from around the world including directors of major museums and galleries as well as journalists and critics. They lead the global search for images of high artistic qcuality and narrative power and fit the theme of a particular cycle.
