Delve into the world of Tom Fecht and Hannah Modigh, two of the finalists for the eleventh cycle of the Prix Pictet photography award, with auctioneer and curator Sandra Nedvetskaia.

The panel discussion followed by a Q&A will take place at Luma Westbau (Löwenbräukunst, Limmatstrasse 270, 8005 Zürich) at 13:00, on Friday 6 March 2026.

Tom Fecht

Tom Fecht is known especially for innovative seascape and night photography. His work sits at the edge of quantum physics, visualising environmental phenomena invisible to the naked eye. His Prix Pictet-shortlisted series Luciferines - entre chien et loup documents bioluminescent plankton along the Atlantic coast. Their electric discharge remains almost invisible to the naked eye and can only be captured when the first blue rays of daylight intersect with the remaining reflections of the moon.

Hannah Modigh

Hannah Modigh's work sits in a socially engaged and autobiographical documentary tradition. She works with analogue film and photographic installations. Her Prix Pictet-shortlisted series Hurricane Season focuses on the landscapes and residents of southern Louisiana, a high-risk weather zone — documenting the atmosphere of suspense during the months when the threat of storms is most frequent.

Sandra Nedvetskaia

Sandra Nedvetskaia is an art advisor, curator, auctioneer, and writer with over twenty years of experience across the global art world. She holds a degree in European Studies from King’s College London and the London School of Economics. Sandra began her career at Christie’s London in 2005, where she spent a decade playing a key role in developing the auction house’s presence across Eastern Europe. She has more recently co-founded the Electric Art Collective, a nomadic platform for Swiss contemporary art. Today, based out of Zurich, she advises international collectors, manages emerging artists, curates exhibitions and cultural events and works at the intersection of various art practices. Her debut poetry collection, A Wandering Soul, was published in 2025.

The eleventh Prix Pictet ‘Storm’ award ceremony takes place at the V&A in London on 25 September. For the first time, the work of the twelve shortlisted photographers is on display in the Prix Pictet Gallery. Managing Partners Laurent Ramsey and Elif Aktig as well as Mary-Therese Barton, Sandra Ribeiro and Philippe Liniger from the Pictet Group were in attendance.
